The kambuchi, or clay vase is still a great part of Paraguayan craftmanship, especially in cities like Areguá and Itá. Until not long ago, families from the whole country would own a large vase to store water in the coolest part of the house. It is a perfect example of tradition entwined with the earth and knowledge passing down from generations.
